Project Wolf Programmes
In 2006 Project Wolf brought over 30 professional volunteers to Romania including dramatherapists, play therapists, and other arts therapists and councillors. We worked in several hospitals with children and adults, group homes with children from the notorious orphanages, and community projects with Roma children.
The 2006 Creative Summer School was attended by 21 Romanians including teachers, psychologists, social workers and NGO workers. Three volunteers also attended on a part-time basis. All participants had completed the basic skills training in therapeutic drama and play (Module 1), and now completed Modules 2 and 3. A sizeable group wish to continue the training programme over the next two years.
Project Wolf has also provided a 3 day training for staff from Child Protection centres in Brasov (27 participants) and a similar training for staff and young adults from group homes in Constanta. This was a joint programme organised by the Aurelia Trust and Child Protection. They have requested that it is developed further in 2007.
The Teachers Centre in Brasov organised a training programme for teachers on 'theatre in special education' which was attended by 28 teachers and several school inspectors. This will roll out to a 15 day training in 2007.
